You`d think that me being from Sweden I "should" naturally love fish, but I was very late at discovering the culinary delights of our incredible oceans. Nowadays, as I have found how truly delicious they are, they are on my plate more often than not!
I love to experiment and add bits and pieces to my meals, such as fresh herb sauces, chopped and toasted seeds or nuts or why not a sprinkle of toe-curling vintage Parmesan cheese!
Busy Eaters was created with the time-strapped self-employed in mind. We have developed delicious, quick and (mostly) nutritious meals, snacks and lunch box ideas for you to be able to swiftly make at home.
Enjoy, and we'd love to hear what you think!

Add a splash of good quality olive oil to a non stick pan and gently fry your fish, seasoned with salt and freshly ground pepper to taste.
Turn your fish over and fry until it's fully cooked through.
Remove the fish from the pan, chop your cherry tomatoes in half to speed up the cooking process and ad to the pan along with crushed garlic and a splash of white wine.
Allow it all to get hot, soft and deliciously flavoursome for a minute or two, then arrange everything with the fish on your plate.
Gently spread on the green pesto and sprinkle on some fresh basil leaves with the lemon juice.
Serve with a thick slice of toasted sourdough bread-YUM!!

What Am I Meant To Do?!

I have a sneaky feeling that I'm far from the only one here who has started lots and lots of different types of businesses thankfully most of them only in my head, with most of them never even reaching the stage of implementing. The pure excitement of planning, dreaming, figuring out, working towards and actually putting the necessary steps into place to start a new business is not comparable to anything else I have ever felt.
It is all consuming and SO intoxicating and exciting, but, if your heart, soul and abilities aren't in it, it's simply a bubble which will eventually burst.

As intriguing as it is, it's also costly and time-consuming, embarrassing and disappointing when you change your mind or it fails or doesn't even make to the starting line... Finding out who you are, what you want to do and who wants to buy from you is not easy, but necessary for you to be able to have ANY kind of confidence in your business.

If I sooner had had the courage to truly sit down and figure out who I am and what I`m most suited for, I could have saved myself a lot of blood, sweat and tears-and money too! But, hey, this journey is what makes life interesting, is it not?

Today, let's work on finding out which path is the best suited to us.
Which type of business fits our personality, our location, our living situation, our family lives, our time-frame and our bank accounts.
Hopefully, this exercise will set you on a more direct and "gentle on the soul"-path than the one I had to endure...

-"Do it now, because,
often "Later" becomes "Never..."

*Make a list of your natural abilities*

This can be absolutely anything. You can be: Great at washing the car, Make people feel at ease, Bake a damn good apple tart, Organize Jelly Beans in perfect little rows or Tell 20 jokes in under a minute.
Whatever it is, write it down even though it might not seem "career" related just yet.

*Make a list of your instinctual interests*

Truly focus and figure out what your heartfelt, instinctive interests are, i.e. the things, happenings, emotions or events you are irresistibly drawn to. What makes your heart beat that little bit (or a lot) faster?
Who do you follow on Social Media and why, what does what they do make you feel?  What do you read that captures your attention, are you drawn to technical things, to psychology, to spiritual or maybe to musical.
All the things you put down, however small, are part of the bigger picture.

*Merge the previous two*

To create a business or career, you need to have four things present at all times:  Dedication, Drive, Interest, and Ability. If you are lacking any of those, it's quite likely that your next business idea won't go the way you would like it to.
Building on what you now know and what you are passionate about, that is the key here.

So,what you want to do now that you know what you CAN & LIKE to do? Write it down! Merge what you now know and feel, and really elaborate on how to create a  business out of the two.

*Be happy with you*

Listen to me who has been there more times that I can bother to remember; it's truly and wholeheartedly not worth it, living your life as someone you do not wish to be, doing things you don't wish to do and feeling things you don't want to feel.
It's really is not worth it in neither the short nor the long run. Figure out who you truly are, honour the instincts of that person and create a path towards living and working as a happy, creative, peaceful, productive and successful business owner. /Kajsa
